Privacy policy

Effective October 21, 2026

odo is a marketplace where people sell cars to people. Right now we're building it, and this page covers the waitlist. We keep it short because we collect very little.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect:

• Your email, so we can reach you.
• Your zip code, so we know where to launch first.
• Whether you're selling, buying or both.
• When you plan to sell, if you tell us.
• How you found us. If you clicked a link or an ad, the link can carry tags (like the ad or campaign name) that tell us where you came from. We save those with your signup. We also save the page that sent you here, if your browser shares it.
• Basic site stats. Our web host counts page visits without cookies. It doesn't tell us who you are.

We don't ask for your name, phone number, address or anything about your finances. Don't put sensitive info in the form.

Why we collect it

• To invite you when odo opens near you.
• To send updates about odo. Not often, and you can stop them anytime.
• To learn which ads and links work, so we spend less finding the next person.
• To plan where and when to launch.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your info. We don't rent it or trade it.

We use a few service providers to run the site and store the waitlist, such as our web host and our database provider. They handle your info only to provide that service to us. We may also share info if the law requires it, or if odo is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy goes with it.

How long we keep it

Until odo launches in your area and you've decided whether to sign up, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first.

Your choices

• Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us.
• See or delete your info: email privacy@odo.market from the address you signed up with. We'll take care of it within 30 days.
• Depending on your state, you may have more rights over your info. Email us and we'll honor them.

Keeping it safe

Your info is stored with a database provider that encrypts data and limits who can read it. No system is perfect, but we keep access tight.

Age

The waitlist is for people 18 and older. If you're under 18, please don't sign up.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll email you first.

Waitlist terms

Joining the odo waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to anything. Here's the whole deal.

• It's a waitlist, not an account. You can't list or buy a car yet. We'll email you when odo opens near you.
• No promises on timing or features. We're still building. What we launch, where, and when may change. A spot on the list doesn't guarantee access or an early invite.
• It costs nothing. We'll never charge you for being on the list.
• We'll email you. Invites and occasional updates. Unsubscribe anytime with one click.
• Be real. Use your own email. We may remove signups that look fake or automated, or that come from dealers. odo is for private sellers and buyers only.
• 18 and up. You must be at least 18 to join.
• The name may change. "odo" is our working name while we finish trademark work. If it changes, we'll tell you.
• Your info is covered by our privacy policy above.
• These terms can change. We'll update the date at the top. When odo launches, you'll agree to full terms of service before you list or buy anything.
